On the run (Music & Lyrics: Katja Mair)

every day is just another day
for us to go out and look out for troubles we could blow away
for example, last week,
on this mellow tuesday evening
while we were hanging around on the streets
enjoying the feeling of summernights
but! all of a sudden there was a scream
followed by a biting smell of fire, so each one knew
there's a need of some help, let us go,
don't block the way we say,
someone's in trouble and if he needs help
we need an empty road to hurry!

'cause, we're on the run and you know when we run there is fire!
and when we run it is more than just running it's flying
all through the streets and the alleys and all over the sky
and that's why they call us the superflyguys

as we came to that burning flame
we started fighting and running and shouting, what a busy game!
well, it started to rain, what a shame for our heroic deed!
next time we will succed!

the other day, when we came our way
it seemed to be just a day to relax and hangin' loose, we say
we were totally wrong! it was shown as we came along
it almost looked like the day
when a monster like king kong was born! oh, what a day!
'cause all of a sudden there was a bang
followed by hysterical screaming of people, sounding really bad!
oh we thought we'd go mad
but we knew we'd help and so we said
"there are big troubles and if we should help
we need an empty road to hurry!"

as we faced the crowded place
people were screaming and shouting and running an a crazy race
oh it seemed quite absurd, and we know you won't believe a word:
but, there was kong kong in full seize with gib eyes!
oh, it was no disguise! what a surprise!
then, all of a sudden we got the thrill
when the eyes of the monster met ours and we lost our will
oh, what else could we do than to run as fast as we could?
oh, we run for our lifes. when we run there's nothing else to do.
but we think we had fun! so what else could we say to you?
now, we're on the run
still on the run.
